Rare Rice Krispies 1930s Advertising Ink Blotter card. This unusual item advertises on of the first commercially produced breakfast cereals. The blotter is about 5 3/4 inches wide, and 3 5/8 inches tall. It features a very early version picture of the 3 Kellogg’s Advertising Icons Pop, Crackle, and Snap, each banging on a drum with a pair of cereal spoons. In the upper right corner it reads “That Snap! Crackle! Pop! is the rhythm of the Rice Krispies tom toms as they spell “Freshness” to those eager appetites, around the breakfast table. Oh Boy ! Bubbles of oven -popped rice –floating in an ocean of luscious , cool milk or cream….what more could a person ask for? There just is nothing quite like Kellogg’s Rice Krispies.
